Lace Cookies

Today’s Lace Cookies are sponsored by Challenge Dairy, thank you for supporting the brands that support Sugar Spun Run!  All thoughts and opinions are, as always, 100% my own.

These old-fashioned lace cookies may look unassuming, but trust me when I tell you how incredibly addictive they are!  Made primarily with melted butter, sugar, and vanilla, they flatten out in the oven and have a crisp candy-like texture. They’re as addictive as potato chips; it’s impossible to just eat one!

I just have a super short post today to tell you about these Lace Cookies that I made for Challenge Dairy!  You’ll need to pop over to their website to grab the full recipe, but before you do I want to tell you how addictive these cookies actually are, despite their unassuming appearance.

I admit, they’re not much to look at.  They’re totally flat, and when my little sister first saw them she was completely unimpressed and said it just looked like they’d melted.  Everyone (except for my mom, who is familiar with Lace Cookies) thought they were actually baking fails.  Until they tried them, that is.

Despite their humble appearance, these cookies are good.  Their flat crisp texture reminds me of sweet addictive potato chips and neither Zach nor I could stop eating them.

When you’re baking with so few ingredients, you want to make sure that you are using quality ingredients.  The butter is the key ingredient and the key flavor driver for these Lace Cookies, so I obviously recommend using Challenge Butter for this recipe for the best possible taste.  Head over to their website for full instructions to make these Lace Cookies!
